These are samples of art projects and supplies. Projects change Auto Book :supplies: random mixed found objects, Students will create a "book" about themselves. The project will include as much personal detailed information as possible. The more information and detail the more interesting the book will be. Yarn project :supplies: assorted yarn, 1/2inch thick foam board, white glue, 8x10 color image reference picture, 1 page hand written research /reflection paper on Sylvia Ji, Huichol Indians, and their step by step project process. Cultural Mask :supplies: plastic milk jug, white glue, acrylic paint, found objects. Tim Burton House :supplies: 1 inch thick masking tape roll, 3 cereal boxes, white glue, asorted acrylic paint, detail paint brushes, assorted found objects. 1 8x10 bw building reference picture of a building from the movie (The Nightmare Before Christmas) concept drawings depicting all four sides of the building, 2page typed research/reflection paper on the art of stop motion animation, Tim Burton, prop building, puppet making, the movie N.B.C, student art experience. A one page hand written reflection including scale model making and their step by step process. Light Drawing :supplies: assorted drawing pencils, white eraser Puppet project :supplies: any type of found objects for puppet creation, assorted acrylic paint, detail paint brushes, puppet must be able to be used in a stop motion movie (it has to move) concept drawings depicting, Front, back and sides of the puppet. A one page hand written reflection on the building of stop motion puppets and their step by step process. Toothpick project :supplies: toothpicks, white glue, several pieces of aluminum foil 12x12, paint, concept drawing. Rock Painting :supplies: a rock (bigger is better), acrylic paint, detail paint brushes, a concept drawing. Students will plan, research and sketch an image on a rock and paint it with acrylic paint. This rock will be added to our schools landscape. Wire Project :supplies: color kelp forest animal reference image, stove pipe wire 16ga-or 18ga, or any kind of thick bendable wire, paint, one pair of needle nose pliers, concept drawing, 1page typed research/paper on Elizabeth Berrien, and the students art experience. Students will make a wire animal based on a Catalina Island kelp forrest animal. They will make a 3D wire replica of the assigned animal. A one page hand written reflection including a animal bio and project process step by step. Perspective :supplies: assorted drawing pencils, metal ruler, white eraser. Culture Mask supplies: masking tape, white glue, acrylic paints, paint brushes, cereal boxes, reference images, found objects Paper Monster :supplies: paper monster color template, cereal box, masking tape, white glue, paint and brushes. Students will research a interesting monster and make a 3D model of that monster using recycled materials, cereal boxes, paper, etc. Andy Goldsworthy :supplies: Andy Goldsworthy reference image, assorted natural objects ex sticks, stones, leaves, flowers, etc, 2page hand written research/reflection paper on Andy Goldsworthys art and the students step by step art experience. Elements and Principles Book :supplies: assorted magazines to clip example images from, a three brad report folder, white glue, scissors. Students will make a 14 page book highlighting the 14 elements and principles of art. Earth Day projects :supplies: found objects to make an earth day project. The students will create an upcycled artwork repurposing everyday objects. Kelp Yarn :supplies: 3/4 inch thick foam board or found flat object (piece of wood etc), white glue, assorted yarn, reference image. 3D Paper Art :supplies: 3 or more picture prints of the same image. Card stock (thick paper) white glue, scissors. PYO project supplies:anything... This is a project based on the entire years projects. Students will pick a project/projects and use concepts and techniques they learned and apply that to a new project of their own choosing.
